Are you observing only large organisms (mammals, birds, reptiles, etc.)? Which direction are you looking? Pictures (you can post the 30x30 or area of that zone that you're recording in)? -6 Conclusion -- good analysis -- your controlled variables definitely need work as well as your "definition" of "animal" because leaf fall likely played a large roll in your results as you noted.
